AZUMI flutes - for aspiring flutifsts. Offering two different series, the Z- and S-series, with a handmade headjoint made by ALTUS. Created by flute maker Shuichi Tanaka, extraordinary japanese flute makers and founder of ALTUS handmade flutes. The brand was created by Shuichi Tanaka - Japanese flutemaker master and founder of ALTUS flutes. It offers flute students instruments, which help to develop their musical ideas and sound further. Key element for the flute sound production is the handmade professional headjoint made by ALTUS. The headjoints are available in two different lipplate shapes, the Z- and the S-cut. Thes are characteristic for each Series, which offer you both Sterling Silver (Z-series) and Britannia silver (S-series) material for different tonal clolours. Tanaka combined this with a very well produced flute, using the quality of the Bennet-scale, with the position of the toneholes refering to the classic 19th century Louis Lot flutes, developed exclusively for ALTUS flutes om cooperation with his friend and master flutist William Bennet.
