The Marca UNIC reed is made from a naturally bio-sourced cane, cultivated with passion by Marca France in the sunny department of Var. Each cane stalk is carefully selected, ensuring exceptional quality and a deep respect for nature.

Manufacturing Process:
Each cane is cut with artisanal precision and then dehydrated to preserve its intrinsic qualities. It is then immersed in a bath of resin specially formulated for Marca. This resin, by replacing the water between the cane fibers, creates a unique hybrid material, combining the naturalness of the cane with the robustness of the resin, thus offering unparalleled durability and performance. After more than two years of testing, it appears that UNIC reeds have a lifespan equivalent to the consumption of about thirty traditional reeds.

To meet the varied expectations of musicians, the UNIC reed is cut into four distinct shapes:
• Classic: For a balanced and versatile sound, perfect for all styles of music.
• Elite: Thicker, for superior performance and optimal response, ideal for demanding musicians.
• Studio: Designed for studio recordings, offering great precision and exceptional sound clarity.
•Jazz: Specially developed for jazz musicians, offering a rich and expressive sound, perfect for improvisation.

Cuts for Bb and Bass Clarinets:
• Classic: For a clear and balanced sound, suitable for all playing levels.
• Elite: Thicker, for exceptional performance and quick response, ideal for professional musicians.

Sales and Maintenance:
• Sold individually: Each reed is offered individually, allowing musicians to precisely choose the reed that suits their needs.
• Precise calibration: The reeds are calibrated by 1/4 strength for a more precise selection, thus offering optimal personalization.
• Maintenance: For better longevity, it is recommended to clean your reed with a suitable disinfectant such as Wizard DF6, ensuring perfect hygiene and prolonged lifespan.

Customization:
Just like a 100% natural reed, the Marca UNIC hybrid reed can be scraped to soften it or cut at the tip to give it a bit more hardness. This flexibility allows musicians to adjust their reed according to their personal preferences and specific needs.
